This is one of my favourite family photos, captured through my father's lens: (from left) my brother, my mother, and I having lunch in a park while visiting my aunt in the USA.

I grew up surrounded by family photographs. My father would take pictures of us at any opportunity and had a talent for capturing moments in the most natural way possible, almost like a documentary.
Our family photo albums are the best gift he gave us and what I treasure the most.
Looking through them is still one of my favourite things to do.
It's likely one of the reasons I became a photographer.

It's funny how I only realised this after becoming a mother myself. I took pictures of my daughter at every opportunity, and like my father, I found myself wanting to put together albums of every little achievement and every new experience.

I am now more aware of the concept of time—how sometimes it passes by without me even noticing, and at other times, it slows down to the point of stillness.
It made me realise the importance of that stillness - the importance of pausing everything and just enjoying the moment. The significance of the many quiet (or not so quiet!) little, everyday moments -  the ones you are afraid of forgetting.
Perhaps for the first time, I grasped how powerful photography is - the ability to freeze time within a single frame.

I'd love to share my passion and encourage you to appreciate the beauty there is in your everyday life - in the unscripted interaction with the family - and the gift that it is to be able to go back and relive these moments through photographs.

Through natural, unposed portraits, my wish is to capture you and your family in such a way that, even over time, you can recognise your true selves in the images and remember the sweetest of memories for years to come.
